Day 8: Selma, Alabama

Day 8 walk was shorter than usual, but historic.  I walked around to some of the civil rights sites in Selma, Alabama.  Selma is not prosperous, but full of such significance.  The march from Selma to Montgomery started here, took five days, and was preceded by a violent confrontation.  In the end, it was a jubilant celebration.
