I started my Day 6 walk from the hotel where we spent the night in Enid, Oklahoma, probably not a great idea. The area was exceedingly pedestrian unfriendly. Once I navigated away from the major highway, the walking was safer. The homes were modest and mostly neat and clean. It must have been a pretty secure neighborhood, I found bikes and lawn mowers left out in front of houses overnight. Ninety percent of the vehicles in driveways were American-made. Many pick up trucks.
